The Peak
The Peak is a movable room divider which is made of compressed felt. The material has good acoustic values and makes the structure simple and light.
Peak is designed for noisy spaces and it is possible to use as one or as a group providing a cozy silent shelter from the world. Next to a table The Peak creates more private space to work blocking distractions from our sights.
Lepotuoli
Easy chair
Kalustesuunnittelun kurssilla tuli suunnitella "2000-luvun" nojatuoli.
One of my furniture design assignment was to design a "21th century" chair. My aim was to create simple, acoustic and comfortable easy chair so that it would provide shelter from the outside world. I also produced a model that is made of felt and plywood.
Koottava messuosasto
A pop-up stand
Koulutehtävänä
olleen messuosaston suunnittelussa otin huomioon helpon koottavuuden,
ekologisuuden ja akustiikan. Ideana oli, että messuosasto koostuu identtisistä
sektoreista, jotka liitetään yhteen kangastarralla. Materiaalina olisi
sanomalehti tai kovaksi puristettu huopa.
Corner stones designing a stand were nature friendlines, acustics and easy assembling. The idea was that the structure was assbled from sectors which were to connected with a textile sticker. Material would be news paper.

Unitila
Dream environment
Otin osaa Habitaren vuoden 2013 suunnittelukilpailuun, jossa haasteena oli luoda kaikkien aistien "unitila".
In 2013 I took a part Habitare design mass competition, where the challenge was to create a "dream environment".

"Onkalo" (Cave) is a small - but not too small - space where all the noise of the world quiet down and all the worries and aches will dissappear in sweet darkness. The Cave will be made of compressed hemp which is environmentally smart and has acoustical attribute. The space is ideal for dreams and hopes.
The worls is full of irritants, so the Cave is a space where we can be only with our own irritants and thoughts. In darkness our vision sharpens, our imagination gets free and in a silence our hearing sense becomes more sensitive...
The Cave is shut with a big zipper and a small hole in the other end will provide "the light to the end of the tunnel". Walls and the bottom are 5 cm thick."
